    in the rain

I am and I am not

                          after a bit of dilemma

                          the cloud

                          reveals the rain

            repeated loud horn-

            a trucker enjoys

            his musical skills

poet Sarah Mahina Calvello, San Francisco, California...

     Waiting

     With coy patience

     Beach day          Warm coffee

Morning sun lights up                          Sweet clover fields

         Never

         skip cappuccino

         life is too short

                Getting up in PJs

                Not knowing what will happen

                Until it's over

poet Kevin O'Connor, Tinley Park, Illinois...

                      Twilight

                  At purple twilight

the moon kneels upon the glen

                the owl pays witness

      poet Joe Sebastian, Chennai, India...

  aging

  their different ways

  oak and pine            mirrored in

                               the baby's eyes

                              mom's smile

          pond stillness

          the swan call

          held by the lake

      poet normal, Saugerties, New york...

in meditation i try to save the world

around me, time sinks & sinks

      the world sails by.

am i the same fool who attempts to

      the world sinks

      i hold by course.

   poet Cathy Porter, Omaha, Nebraska...

    Half moon
    Through my window
    Owes me
    The other half           Blinking bushes
                                Late summer
                                Firefly party

              One star in the sky
              Teases me home

poet Jeanne Shannon, Albuquerque, New Mexico...

   Overcast skies.
   Sunflowers uncertain
   which way to turn.
                            Monsoon season:
                            rain falling
                            with little paw-clicks
                            on the roof

poet Steve Ausherman, Albuquerque, New Mexico...

  Flirty hummingbirds flit
Above me as I walk the trail.
 My grumpy spirit renewed.

A flash of Obsidian, white and blue
          Careens through the thick trees.
                                    Magpie!

MY SHANGRI-LA

Sky pink, peach, white, gray...

hills midnight blue...trees jade green...

. . . white fog scatters past my gazebo.

Problems melt into nature's vista.

Like being in church, but no one judges.

I stare into blue-green panorama as cool rains

slice humidity here in my Shangri-la.

poet Peggy Dugan French, Cardiff, California...

         Picasso by the door

            it's been there for decades

            a simple gesture

            flowers

                        of dad's rocking chair

  swept in

  the hospice revolving door

  autumn leaves

          Longing
        to enter
          that fortress of stone
          to be seen
          and known and needed
          for even those things
