Assistant editor Kitty Kali, MEWING insistently!  "Poetry, Mister Editor!  Poetry from our poets!       and then!...    Treats for everyone!"

poet Peggy Dugan French, Cardiff, California (also our dear friend!)...

    spring arrives

    sweet daffodil

    smiling in the breeze

                          Picasso by the door

                       it's been there for decades

                       a simple gesture

                       flowers

                       from one to another

    poet Zvi A. Sesling,
                       Brookline, Massachusetts...

    Elephant

    In the                    Picture

    Room says nothing     on wall

                               hangs so quietly

poet pl. wick, from the banks                              of Bard Creek, Colorado...

            exhausted

            the meadow grasses

            goldenrod and corn cockles

            wearily bend their parched

            shoulders

            lowering their heads to

            the August soil

            summer's

              coming to a close...

Kelley's kitties Hannah, Mo, and Sassy, their happy home!  "Thank you, Kelley Jean White!" mews assistant editor Frosty...

poet Mary Jo Balistreri, Waukesha, Wisconsin...

stretching my length

across the windowsill

I meow

                        pen scratching

                        a while of no-see-ums

                        across paper

my husband waves from the shirt on the line

   poet Minal Sarosh, Gujarat,              India...

 noon sun

 the frog's croak echoes

 in the well

            city citizen

            the sparrow flies in

            with twigs

       morning mist

       a heart on the

       train window

  and, poet Richa Sharma!

          peaches...

      in a bowl of

      evening contentment

                      scent of dusk

                      cherry blossoms lit up

                      by lanterns

              see you in a moment...

poets!...Donna J. Ernsdorf, and, t. kilgore splake!...

Noble assistant editors, and, visitors! During my daily walk, I found this fascinating poetry book, by Donna J. Ernsdorf, perched upon                           a fence post!...

poet Donna J. Ernsdorf,        Los Angeles, California...

     Stone Memories

      stones skim

      flat against water

      that ripples out

      like memories

      monsters stray

      an iridescent blur

      from my dreams

      and reside in Hell

      monsters meet

      with dinosaur bones

      and fossilize

                            while walking through

                            the next millennia

Poet Donna J. Ernsdorf, born 1932 in Los Angeles (during the Great Depression), after raising five children, began writing poetry: "Her greatest delight was giving readings for groups." She passed on in 1998, and, beyond this poetry book (found on fence post), I know nothing more about her, other than gracious, caring, and very worthy mother, lady, poet!...

                 Poetry Reading

                      a poetry reading

                 is an intellectual

                 confinement of words

                 break away from

                 downward looks

                 and spurious hooks

                 the birds sing

                 loud and clear

                 communicate...

                 climb a tree

                 to sing your verse

                 the treetops may be

                 heard to sing

a line or two of rhyme.

Noble assistant editor Kitty Kali, mewing, "Mister Editor, please let me update us on poet t. kilgore splake!"

Yes, noble assistant, tell us about the remarkable t. kilgore!

tkilgore splake, Calumet, Michigan,    has published 150 worthy and very readable poetry books!          Here is his 150th?!?!...

                  pages of splake

              light afternoon breeze

               soft pine needle hum

                 depositing poems

                 in brautigan creek

                 pieces of my heart

                slowly floating away

      starving artist memories

       remembering hard times

        missing intense energy

         brain madly dancing

                  graybeard memories

                    sock hop romances

                  sinatra presenting love

                    "night and day" 45

Assistant Editor Kitty Kali, insistently mewing,  "Poetry, Mister Editor!  Kitties and people's need their poetry, and! We did not create even one post this past July!  Poetry, Mister Editor, we need poetry!"
Yes, Kali, so true!... and let's begin with:

   poet Ram Chandran, Madurai, India...

      in starlight...
      searching             slowly
      my lost dreams.     receding mist
                              mountain shows up

                  heard this song
                  many times
                  ma's favorite

poet Peggy Dugan French, Cardiff, California...

       every moment
       so precious
       a gem -
       sometimes silky smooth
       sometimes raw and rough

                       looks of love
                       how they change
                       with the passage of time

   poet Joe Sebastian, Chennai, India...

    Elephant
    In the                     Picture
    Room says nothing      on wall
                                hangs so quietly

             ginko walk
             a sudden shower
             of gulmohur blossoms
(gulmohur-Delonix regia is a species of flowering plant noted for its fern-like leaves and flamboyant display of orange-red flowers                                  in Summer in India)

   poet Sarah Mahina Calvello,
                       San Francisco, California...

  Laughter chimes out
The musty smell of pine trees
  Brown leaves turning
                             Coffee held
Warmth on skin grows                                Light between darkness

  poet Judith Nielsen, Longmont, Colorado...

               like a poem written
                in a book of sand
                 the fragile beauty
                    of our lives

poet John Parsons, East Sussex, Hastings,                       United Kingdom...

 deleting emails
 page by page             difficulty standing
a lost friend's name    buffeted by memories
 gone forever             of similar blasts
                             on this same hill
                             blank pages flapping

    poet Peter Vetrano, Alhambra, California...

'Dad, when I'm your age, will you still be alive?'
            "I'll try son...I'll really try."

poet Juanita Torrence-Thompson,                          Bayside, New York...

            SUMMER
            Lazy summer days
            We spread soft blankets
            Over nature's fuzzy lime carpet
            Slurp popsicles, feed ants.

         poet Mona Bedi, Delhi, India...

      temple door
I catch a glimpse of the deity
      smiling at me
                        summetime
                        children play hopscotch
                        on the dappled sunlight

              pandemic lessons
              I teach my grandmother
              how to  use Skype

   poet John McDonald, Edinburgh, Scotland...
               (in English and Scots)

      Canada geese
      have dropped in -
      arctic winds in their wings
                    Canada geese
                    hae drapt by -
                    arctic wunds i thair weengs

     trains heading north
     echo in the arch

                         trains airtin northart
                         echa i the airch
                         he covers under
