Thank you, Kali!  Let's begin with poet          Dennis Rhodes, Naples, Florida...

           There is no reason

to stop and smell the roses--

           I've brought them to you!

       poet Art Elser, Denver, Colorado...

every morning

a tiny ant searches       crows cavort

the bathroom floor       in a cold west wind

                             while I shiver

         poet Linda Amos, York, Pennsylvania...

 a ghost of a moon

sailed by on a slip of silver

 a flimsy raft for moonbeams

                       searching for ghosts

                       coyotes and mountain lions

                       prowl these sacred hills

poet Julie A. Dickson, Exeter, New Hampshire...

           Even behind closed eyes

I can still see the full moon,

           etched on my retinas, beneath

           my eyelids like indelible

           marker on a whiteboard.

poet t. kilgore splake, Calumet, Michigan...

     tasting wilderness
    in deep first silence
     alone alone alone
                          yellow pollen mist
                        floating through forest
                          coming into spring

poet Patricia Carragon, "That Brooklyn Girl"...

  tuxedo kitten
     climbs the chain-link fence
          makes that Olympian leap

                            hissy fit
                            Kitty wants to be fed
                            NOW!
         sleeping cat
         her calm
         before the storm

poet r soos, Joshua Tree, California...
         hands...
         reach out to others
         with her own silent language
         dwelling in her heart
                               ...outside
               the wash dries quickly
         with the dry desert moving
          its heat through our dream

poet Rochelle S. Cohen, Marlton, New Jersey...
     Winter of my Soul
     For my husband Rex Sexton

I lie in wait, hoping for salvation
in the memory, not of grand events,
     but of those inadvertent gestures,
     ordinary then, but extraordinary
     now without you.

     poet Judith Partin Nielsen,
                        Longmont, Colorado...
things unfold
as they do            coulda, woulda, shoulda
and even in that        ringa, dinga, clinga,
there is                         la madré
a special beauty

poet Mary Jo Balistreri, Waukesha, Wisconsin...

                 blazing firewood
                  we drink cider
                     with a bite

                       see you in a moment...

poet t. kilgore splake, Calumet, Michigan...

    pulling her close
first dawn rising      weeding the garden.
drifting off to sleep     I pull up mystery.

poet r. soos, Joshua Tree, California...

         friend
         you bring the riches
of a word or a number explained
         only in your song

poet Nancy l. Dahl, Ypsilanti, Michigan...

NOT MUCH YOU CAN BUY WITH A PENNY
 BUT PRICELESS THE SAYING
 IN GOD WE TRUST

KINDNESS IS THE KEY                                 THAT OPENS THE DOORS
                  TO DREAMS IN LIFE

  poet Judith Partin Nielsen,
                           Longmont Colorado...

                   Face of a Buddha (2)
                   among the orchids
                   face of Buddha appears
                   nothing extra
                     just there

                New Life
       grief -- hidden underground
        tangled like the roots
        of a tree, sometimes
        nurturing fragile new life
editor's Kitty Kali, Frosty, and Tama...
                       "We love's you, Judith!"

  poet Jeanne Shannon
                      Albuquerque, New Mexico...

       Bee Songs

       I thought I was alone
       in the shimmering
       sunlight of the orchard

       then I came near
       the flowering tree

       and heard
       the hum of multitudes
       among its blossoms

     poet Sarah M. Calvello
                     San Francisco, California...

       Outside the window
       The garden lies in disarray
       With it's mismatched secrets

                           Forgotten dreams
                           Watercolor sky
                           Lonely and alive

   noble assistant editor
   Tama selects
      this next poem...

   poet James B. Peters,
             Cottontown, Tennessee...

Winter Ode to a Gray Cat

All you want is a heating vent,
a heating vent, a heating vent.
All you want is a heating vent
       to call your very own.
All you want is a heating vent,
a heating vent, a heating vent.
All you want is a heating vent
to sleep on all day long.

poet Julie Dickson, Exeter, New Hampshire...

    Spinning wheel looming
Flax spun to gold, words shine
    Brilliant yarn of truth

                          Flowers under snow
                          Wait patiently, sleep
                          Spring sun awakens

poet Marlon Jackson, Bronx, New York...

     Sundays

I love to be in my bed
    Watching movies relaxing
Cuddled together with my loved one

      poet Gökhan Tok, Ankara, Turkey...

         Talk

          You never hear it
but at breakfast the sweetest talk
is between the jam and the honey.

                       see you in a moment...
